Kayaking services are available from many tour operators all located downtown by the Malecon (ocean front street). Espiritu Santo Island is the preferred place to go kayaking; there are many beautiful sights of the mountain, as well as all kinds of sea birds and marine life.

Snorkeling and Diving are very popular among the tourists that visit La Paz, specially on the summer when the ocean water is very warm reaching up to 80 degrees, the snorkeler or diver may find all sorts of undersea life from multicolor tropical fish to mantas, sea lions and even hammerhead and whale sharks.

Sport fishing is other important activity on the summer; the waters of The Sea of Cortez are very prolific and you may find different sorts of fish such as roosterfish, Pargo and Cabrilla as well as bigger fish as Dorado, Marlin, Sail Fish and Wahoo.
